SSC CHSL 2021 Eligibility Criteria :

Education Qualification: Candidates need to check their eligibility criteria before applying for SSC CHSL Recruitment 2020
  • For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): The candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
  • For Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
Age Limit: Candidates who want to apply for SSC CHSL 2021 Exam their age should be between 18 to 27 years. Age relaxation is applicable for the reserved category candidates as per the govt of  India rules. 18-27 years as on 01.01.2021

SSC CHSL 2021 Application Fee

  • The application fee to be paid while applying for SSC CHSL is Rs. 100/-
  • No fee is required to be paid by female, SC, ST, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen candidates as they are exempted from paying the fee.
  • Application fees can be paid through offline or online methods.

SSC CHSL Selection Process

Candidates need to pass through 3 Tiers in order to be eligible to get appointed in the SSC CHSL exam. The selection process has been briefly mentioned in the table given below:

  • Tier 1 Exam will have 100 questions with a total of 200 marks.
  • The duration of the exam is 60 Minutes.
  • The question paper will be set in both English and Hindi for every section except English Language section.
  • Negative marking of 0.50 marks will be applicable in the exam

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

  • Tier 2 will be a descriptive exam to be conducted in offline (pen & paper-based) mode.
  • Candidates will be asked to write essays/ letters/applications on any topic.
  • The exam will be of 100 marks which must be completed within 60 minutes.
  • The exam must be written in either Hindi or English.
  • The qualifying marks set by the conducting body in Tier 2 of SSC CHSL 2021 is 33 percent.
Skill Test/ Typing Test: In this stage, candidates will have to give a typing speed test. The test will be conducted for both English and Hindi languages:
  • For English medium-  typing speed of 35 words per minute
  • For Hindi medium – typing speed of 30 words per minute.
Test will be 10 minutes and printed matter in English containing about 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions. VH candidates (with 40% disability and above) will be allowed 30 minutes.
