CTET Eligibility Criteria 2021
(i) Primary Level (Classes 1-5)
- Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
- Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
- Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education. OR
- Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
(ii) Upper Primary Level (Classes 6-8)
- Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 years B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year B.Ed.

CTET Exam Pattern
This Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) consists of two papers. Candidates who choose Paper-I will teach Classes I to V whereas Paper-II for Classes VI to VIII. Aspirants can also apply for both papers. The duration of each paper is two hours and thirty minutes. The exam consists of 150 objective-type questions.

If you are eligible, you can follow the steps as under to fill your CTET application form:
- – 1st Step: Visit the official website of CTET- ctet.nic.in.
- – 2nd Step: Click on the link that says “Apply Online”.
- – 3rd Step: Fill in your “Personal”, “Contact”, and “Residential” details and submit.
- – 4th Step: Note down your Registration Number and Password that will generated on successful registration.
- – 5th Step: Now, log in using your Registration number and Password.
- – 6th Step: Upload scanned images of your Photograph and Signature in the required format.
- – 7th Step: Proceed to the “Payment” option and pay the CTET application fee.
