CTET Eligibility Criteria 2021
(i) Primary Level (Classes 1-5)
- Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
- Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
- Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education. OR
- Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
(ii) Upper Primary Level (Classes 6-8)
- Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR

CTET Exam Pattern
This Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) consists of two papers. Candidates who choose Paper-I will teach Classes I to V whereas Paper-II for Classes VI to VIII. Aspirants can also apply for both papers. The duration of each paper is two hours and thirty minutes. The exam consists of 150 objective-type questions.
